About me

Irene Tassy is a humor writer who lives in California in an area that is so beautiful when it’s not on fire. She has been published in Little Old Lady Comedy, Points in Case, Robot Butt, Slackjaw and Weekly Humorist. But what about awards, you ask?? She won the Nicki’s Prize for Humor Writing sponsored by the Erma Bombeck Workshop. Irene started her career by performing and directing both sketch comedy and straight plays. She also performed stand-up comedy at the Comedy Store in LA and various other tiny, booze-filled venues in the LA area. Her hope is to someday make enough income that her accountant doesn’t giggle when he does her taxes. Dare to dream.
